6D5N Bangkok Trip w/ friends of a decade (PART ONE)

Finally an overseas trip with my closest friends! We have known each other since Pri 5 and have been in contact ever since. Somehow our bond has gotten closer during our 21st birthdays, and have been meeting up pretty often for dinner or shopping (just the girls) haha! Always talked about going overseas together as a whole but due to work, school and NS commitments, it was very hard for us to find a suitable date to fly. Thankfully, few months back, we managed to settle on the dates and destination, booked it on NYE, before Jetstar's promo deal end! Although 2 of 8 in our clique weren't able to make it, we have 2 new members; Leon (my bf) and Alvin (Jz's bf), to join in our trip :)
Booked our flights through Jetstar on 9 Mar '16 - 14 Mar '16 and it cost approx. S$192 per pax (20kg departure and 30kg arrival).

DAY ONE (9/03/16)
Flight at 11.25am, reached Bangkok at 12.50pm. Separated into 2 taxi van (700baht/ taxi) and off to 'The 93 Hotel' for check in!
Initially we booked 4 deluxe rooms (click!) through Agoda for 5 nights at $305.25/ room but when we were there, the receptionist told us that there were not enough rooms (wth?) and suggested us to take the family room (click!). No choice must take right? So we took 1 family room and 1 deluxe room since we have 4 "couples" and family room only have 3 rooms.
The hotel is well located in the heart of Pratunam, free Wi-Fi in all rooms, massage service, easy to flag for cab, a lot of street foods (literally our dinner every night), located very near numerous 7-11s and roughly a 10 minutes walk to Platinum mall and Ratchaprarop train station. The staffs are very friendly and speaks quite fluent English. Rooms are pretty spacious and clean, but the layout for the family room is kinda weird? No toilet for all rooms and its located outside, just a shower area for each room. Master bedroom got a sink at a weird corner :O

Room no. 1's shower.
Tiled toilets are the creepiest! For me haha!
Master bedroom! Still got a living room
Huge jacuzzi! We soaked our battered legs in there on the last day haha
Toilet no. 1 with sauna, did not use it though.
Toilet no. 2. Very spacious!
Rested for 1-2 hours before heading out for lunch at Platinum mall. Cleared Platinum mall and then headed towards Central World, but there was nothing much. Central World is just like SG's ION Orchard. Left for Big C Supermarket which is just opposite Central world.

Look at the queue while we were about to leave!
That's why its best to go at early evening.
Then we cabbed to Talad Rod Fai Ratchada (NEW train market). The OLD train market is called Talad Rod Fai Srinakarin and its about 45 minutes away from Chinatown whereas Ratchada is just 20 minutes ride. If the cab driver does not know where, just tell them 'Esplanade mall' as its located right behind the mall.
Further back of the night market, lots of bar shops. No much people as its on a weekday but when we went back on Sunday, the crowd was cray!
Fish cakes!
Cost: 60 baht (S$2.40)
