One day trip to Johor Bahru!

Exchange rate for this trip: SGD 1 = RM 2.792

Had the same off days with my boy so~ we decided to venture into Malaysia by public transport; for the first time, by ourselves! Was kind of skeptical at first as Malaysia is always having lots of news on theft/ day light robbery cases but then, since we're only going to wander around in City Square, it should be fine.

Had chee cheong fun, yam and chwee kueh for breakfast. Left house at around 11 o'clock, took the train to Kranji MRT and walk towards the bus stop that is just outside the station. Queued for bus 170X/170 that is heading towards woodlands checkpoint, the ride took about 10 minutes. From what I've read and heard, taking this transport is the cheapest and most convenient as its paid via ez-link card.
After going through the customs, we headed down to the bus terminal and made a right turn after going down the escalator; and queued for bus 170 again. Just in case if you're scared/ or lost, remember some of the faces that boarded the same bus as you and follow them! The ride to Malaysia immigration is another 15 minutes, without any jams as its on a weekday! So after clearing the Malaysia customs, we then followed the sign towards JB Sentral and there we are! City square! The walk is about 10 minutes or so. After 2 hours since departure from home, We've reached city square; at 1pm.

Wanted to head down to Kam Seng restaurant for their signature curry fish head but... when we reached JB, I actually forgot the way and its impossible for me to use google map as there's no wifi/internet connection near :( Definitely gonna write it down when I go back to JB again! So, we had our lunch at the food court in City square.

Mine.

The boy's.

Tried this hong kong dessert ( Hui Lau Shan) that was raved by many!
It was really good and affordable :D

Mango Feast - RM13.90

Durian pancakes (crepes) - RM8.90
Not bad but I still prefer the one in malacca :P

Heavenly Brew - RM 19.90
///// HOT.

Finished walking the whole mall in a small span of just 3 hours; as there's nothing much to shop/ buy so we thought of heading down to KSL city by shuttle bus. The boy wanted to buy some groceries, but sadly, I forgotten the way to the bus interchange too. Hahaha
Then I realised that there's another mall beside city square, called Komtar JBCC, so off we went!
