The day Leon turned 23! Booked a 2D1N stay at 'The Westin' through my girl-friend, at a corporate rate. Stayed at Deluxe room and it was superb relaxing, especially their signature 'Heavenly beds'. It can definitely fight with Equarius hotel's luxe mattress (click!). Its hard to describe how heavenly it is, you'll need a stay to know! Even asked Leon to call the concierge to request for late check out :P Thankfully they gave us an extra hour and so, I went back to cherish another hour of sleep.
The hotel is just 7 minutes walk away from Downtown Line, abit ulu as there are quite a few constructions going on and even our room is facing a construction building ~.~

Rested for awhile before heading down to have our buffet dinner at 'Seasonal Tastes'. The place has a lovely ambience, but the selection of dishes were kind of disappointment. Not what I've expected from a 5-star hotel.
They have a varieties of greens, cold cuts, cheeses and small condiments, such as dried fruits, pickles, nuts and crackers, to choose from. Followed by fresh seafood and cooked foods, both have limited varieties and sadly, they don't even taste and look appealing.
The only section that I liked about Seasonal Tastes, its their wide selection of desserts and gelatos . Would say that their desserts and pastries section are the best!
Cost: S$80++ per pax (Weekends)

Heard that they took pride in their Laksa and its one of the best in Seasonal tastes, but ... its the most tasteless laksa we have ever eaten in our lives! Like seriously, even my house coffeeshop's tasted better than theirs. The gravy base was watery, creaminess and spiciness level were not there, tasted like super diluted gravy. Most importantly, no service staffs at the counter and we had to cook it ourselves.
