Booked a 2D1N stay at Amara Hotel, deluxe room with TWIN beds, just in case some of our friends might want to stay overnight but none did. So once he saw the 2 beds, questions kept shooting out from his mouth and I did not prepare any answers to counter it hahaha that's when he knew who were going to join us. The room was clean and spacious, also the beds were really comfy. The hotel is well located, with 24hrs supermarket and hawker centre just directly opposite the hotel, also starbucks and 100AM mall adjacent to the hotel. About 7 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT.

Got ourselves ready and left for our dinner at another hotel. :P The boy is pretty much a steak lover so I decided to bring him to Morton's The steakhouse @ Mandarin Oriental. Read a lot of reviews and found out that Morton's has always been listed as the Top 5 steakhouses in Singapore so, why not give it a try! It was also my first time having a whole steak to myself, so better make sure its the best experience right? Hehe.
Made the reservation few weeks prior to the boy's birthday and also brought up that it was for his birthday. So glad that we visited this place; as the staffs' services, the food served, place's ambience were definitely top-notched. Although the bill burned a big hole in my wallet but it was worth the experience.
The boy's name was printed on the menu! How cool was that?!

Chocotini Mortini
My 6oz Center-cut Filet Mignon; Medium rare. It was my first time having a whole steak to myself, that's why I ordered the smallest portion that they have. At first I was feeling a lil skeptical about it as I don't really like eating beef but the steak was cooked to perfection and I really enjoyed it!

The legendary Morton's hot chocolate cake! So freaking delicious!
Chocolate mousse.
Regretted ordering this as we had too much chocolate stuffs. Only had a few mouthful but the mousse was nonetheless rich and smooth, the sweetness was just right.
The staff was kind enough to take our picture, designed the birthday card and framed it up for us!
Btw, there's no additional cost! Really pleased with the service :)
